The story of Sheldon
Sheldon Morris Cooper passed away on December 19, 2022, at his home in Glendale, AZ. He was 60 years old. He was born on May 25, 1962, to Jacob Cooper and Marguerite Ann Pettit in San Jose, CA. He is preceded in death by his father Jacob, his mother Ann, and his sister Linda. He is survived by his wife Louise, their son Jonathan, as well as his two brothers David and Ted, and three sisters, Susy, Caroline, and Bonnie. Sheldon was very quick and knowledgeable in many areas of science, business, and the news of the day. His greatest joy was helping people by being an advocate and giving advice about the many subjects he knew about. Early in life, he loved riding his motorcycle to the beaches around Santa Cruz and the San Francisco area. He enjoyed skiing, swimming, and long drives, and was deeply interested in all life had to offer. As he got older, Sheldon had a passion for sharing stories about his life and rooting for his favorite teams. Most of all, he loved his cats, who he treated like family. He graduated from Los Gatos High School and had a degree in Psychology from California State University, Sacramento in 1985. He had many jobs and careers in his life, including being an insurance adjuster, and realtor, and holding various tech jobs in San Jose during the 1980s and 90s. He was also president of the Homeowners Association in his neighborhood in San Jose for several years. He and his wife and son moved to Glendale, AZ in 2003, where he worked as a day trader, and landlord, and worked with his son in their business as a computer repairman. Sheldon’s wishes were to be cremated. We will always remember Sheldon, especially his smile and beautiful blue eyes.
