Rosita Hampton, a real-life Wonder Woman with 7 children, 18 grandchildren, and an uncountable number of great-grandchildren. Born and raised in sunny Los Angeles, California on October 29th, 1953. Supposedly, October babies have the secret to eternal life, but I must have missed that memo because on March 18, 2024, I took my final breath. Well, at least my daughter managed to give me one last sip of soda before I kicked the bucket.
Now, let's hear what my beloved offspring have to say about me. Nannette described me as a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend who had a knack for leaving a lasting impression on people. I accepted everyone for who they were, and my love for them never wavered. My strength, hope, and courage will live on in each of my children, grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. They'll always have those special memories of me to cherish.
Ah, Johnny, my dear son. He believes I was, and always will be, the strongest woman he's ever known. Rest in peace, my dearest mother. I love you and will forever miss you. You'll always have a special place in my heart. Until we meet again, love always, your son.
And then there's Catherine, who thinks I was the epitome of strength. No matter what life threw at me, I faced it head-on like a champ. Loved and respected by many, I was not just a great mom, but also an incredible grandmother, aunt, and friend. I was always there for them, and my absence will be deeply felt. But fear not, for I shall forever reside in their hearts, never to be forgotten.
Rest in peace, Rosita Hampton, the witty, strong-willed matriarch who charmed her way into our lives and left an indelible mark on our souls.
