Jerry Garafolo passed away after a brief illness. He was born in Chicago, IL. Jerry attended the School for the Blind in Jacksonville, IL. Then he attended Illinois Weslyan in Bloomington, IL and studied music. Jerry went on to get his Masters in music from Indiana University in Bloomington, IN. He worked for Indiana University as a piano technician and taught music and tuned on the side. Jerry retired in 2002 and moved to Beaver- ton, OR with his daughter. In his retirement he did some part time tuning, volunteered and was a wonderful sitter for his granddogs. In 1970 he married Susan Buffington. She proceeded him in death in 1993. He is survived by his daughter Andrea Garafolo of Beaverton, OR. No services are planned at this time. A GoFundMe was set-up in his name, Jerry Garafolo, to assist with costs relat- ed hospitalization and end of life care. Memorial contributions can be made to the GoFundMe as some the of the money will be used as a memorial gift to a worthy cause.
