The story of
On Saturday morning, March 16, 2024, Dennis J Namovice (72), after a difficult battle with Alzheimers, left this life on earth to begin the next. He was met by his father (William), mother (Veronica) and brother (John). He leaves behind his wife and best friend, Mary Namovice (Heblinger, Anderson) a stepdaughter, Bethany Trybus (Anderson, Burza), a stepson, Ryan Anderson, Ryan’s wife Janie Wayman Anderson and four grandchildren, Connor (17) and Lilly (15) Burza, Mason (11) and Coraline (10) Anderson. Also, his brother, William (Bill) Namovice, Bill’s wife Kathy Namovice and nephews Kenny, Tim and Mike Namovice who reside in Northwestern IN and many other family and friends he loved along the way. He was raised in northeastern Indiana, moved to Rockford, IL where he met his wife, Mary and traveled to Arizona where he retired the last 13 years. He had a BS in Computer Science and worked as a programmer/analyst most of his life in the Chicago area and Rockford, IL. Since moving to AZ, he worked at Lowes for many years, which he enjoyed immensely, earning multiple customer service awards and bonuses for helping folks. Dennis made friends wherever he went and looked for opportunities to help everyone. He dearly loved his 3 rescue greyhounds, Tuffy, Mark, and Traveler along with several kitties, especially Laurie, who perched proudly on his shoulder. Over the last 6 years, Dennis loved feeding and talking to the many Mule deer who came to visit his back yard. He got to know them and knew each one from the other. They would wait patiently for him each morning. Over his life he enjoyed white water rafting, biking, and taking road trips. He was a member of the Indian Guides in Indiana and loved camping and traveling. He loved classic cars and military aircraft and enjoyed attending the car and air shows. He is and will be missed terribly by all who knew him. We remember his perpetual smile, sense of humor, kindness and welcome heart for all people and critters he encountered. In lieu of flowers or cards, please consider helping Dennis’ favorite causes in his name. The following are 501c3 organizations that seek helpful donation of money, food/supplies, time and fosters for their rescues. • National Greyhound Adoption Program (NGAP) at “ngap.org” • The Cat House on the Kings at “cathouseonthekings.com” Or consider donating time, supplies or money to your local animal rescue group or shelter. They all need love.
