The story of
Vivian Lynn Kilgore, born Vivian Lynn Williams, in Chicago, Illinois. She courageously battled stage 4 colorectal cancer for nearly 4 years. This amazing, sweet, funny, loving, passionate, and beautiful person passed away around 1 am on Friday, April 17, in Colorado Springs, Colorado. “Vivi” was an RN, a mother, a daughter, a sister, and a wife. She was very much a family oriented woman. She is survived by her sons Johnny Garcia, Mitchell Walker, and Colby Walker. Vivian is also survived by her sister Vicky Williams, and her husband Heinrich Kilgore, all whom reside in Colorado. Her stepsons are Garrett Kilgore and Granger Outlaw of Florida. She was preceded in death by her mother Vivian Williams and her father Charles Williams. Vivian loved animals and animal rights. She, in later years, became vegan. In addition to being a human mom, Vivi fiercely loved her dogs as well. She loved nature, music, hiking, and movies. Her favorite TV shows were Walking Dead, Friends, Modern Family, and The Middle. Some of her favorite movies were Titanic, Star Wars: Rogue One, Spider-Man, The Secret Life of Walter Mitty, 50 First Dates, and The Harry Potter films. Born in Chicago on April 9, 1968, Vivian eventually moved with her mom and sister to North Carolina as a teenager, and later as a young adult, to New Orleans, where Johnny was born, then to Florida, where Mitchell and Colby were born, and there she primarily raised her 3 boys. She had met her husband Heinrich, a fellow RN, in 2016, and started dating in 2017, eventually marrying him in Lake Tahoe in 2022, and unfortunately was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer just months later. She retired as an RN that year to focus on battling her illness. She and her husband moved in April 2024 to Colorado, where all her sons had one-by-one moved to, to be nearer to them. Her sister Vicky followed suit in April 2025, to be near her sister. Vivian was very brave and had no quit, always receptive to seeing and being with her loved ones, regardless of the discomfort she endured. Nothing was more important to her than her family and sweet dogs. She was so proud of her children and always was there for them, for everyone. Vivi declined quickly, in just a few days, and just days before she would’ve been seen by hospice. She passed peacefully in her sleep, just one week after her birthday, knowing all her family was near and how very much she was loved and always in their hearts. She had too short a life, but had immense and loving experiences, especially in her relationships and traveling across America. Reno, Nevada and Santa Fe, New Mexico had a special place in her heart. She is so missed and so loved, always. R.I.P. Vivian, we love YOU… We are family.
