The story of
Vicki Vidmar was born on April 9th, 1956 in Leadville, Colorado. She was the only daughter of Mike and Doreen Gross and was raised to be tough growing up alongside her three brothers—Rickie, Dickie, and Darrel. On August 24, 1974, Vicki married John Vidmar where they began a new life together. This included many great adventures. John and Vicki spent years biking, hiking, camping and exploring the great outdoors. In their 50 years of marriage, perhaps their greatest adventure was raising their daughter, Tapanga, and watching her grow into a successful, hardworking young woman. In 2008, Vicki began serving the community of Buckeye, Arizona where she became the office manager at Sunset Dental. This is where she began her true and lasting legacy. Her hard work and sincere dedication to her role was felt by hundreds of patients. Vicki always put her patients first and her magnetic personality made her patients feel truly valued. In return, patients had the utmost respect and trust in Vicki and adored being greeted by her over the past 15 years. In her life and career, Vicki had an unmatched strength and resilience. Even when diagnosed with lung cancer, she never gave up and fought until her very last day to overcome. Her courage, bravery, and compassion have inspired her colleagues, friends and family alike. She has touched hundreds of lives over the decades and her impact will remain forever. Many of those who know Vicki will agree that they are not the same because of her, and life will never be the same without her.
