Veronica Maxine was born in McKees Rocks, Pa. on August 20, 1935 to Marie and Stephen Bench (both deceased). She was the youngest of three children and was affectionately called "Roni". Her mom made her take piano lessons at a young age, but she never really enjoyed it. Roni preferred to do other things rather than attend her lessons. Roni learned how to ice skate at an early age in front of her house during the winter months. She loved ice skating so much that she qualified for the "Silver Skates Jamboree" speed skating event.
She married Michael Ciamacco on January 13, 1954. To this union were born 2 sons, Michael Stephen (deceased) and Randall Michael.
After divorcing, she introduced her boys to Ice skating and ice hockey. She was always on the go taking them everywhere for their practices and games, usually on opposite sides of the county.
Roni worked for a janitorial company as an office cleaner in the downtown Pittsburgh skyscrapers, and was later promoted to supervisor. She lived in McKees Rocks for 85 years before moving to Northridge, Ca to be closer to her son Randall.
Roni resided at the Olive Branch Assisted Living Facility for over 2 years during her stay in California.
Veronica Maxine Bench passed away peacefully on July 2, 2025 at the age of 89.
She was preceded in death by her brother Stephen Bench (Dorothy) and sister Jean Wolstoncroft (Howard).
Her memory will be cherished by her son, Randall Ciamacco (Rose), Grandsons Dylan Ciamacco (Ella) and Wesley Ciamacco (Paris), Great Grandchildren, Helena and Noah Ciamacco, Nieces and Nephews.
