The story of Tony
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of a beloved husband, father, brother, and son, Tony Schlabaugh who departed from this world on March 2nd, 2023. Tony was born on December 6th, 1972 in Columbus Nebraska, to Connie Meyer and Don Kowalski. He grew up with his grandparents and mother and relied on his older brother Terry as the only constant in his life. While growing up they lived in Nebraska, Colorado, Idaho, Oregon, and Utah. While in Utah, Tony met the love of his life, Carla, with whom he shared a deep and loving relationship. Together they raised three sons, Dylan, Ethan, and Ashton, whom he loved dearly and was immensely proud of. As a father, Tony was kind, patient, and supportive, always encouraging his sons to pursue their dreams and passions. He felt his purpose in life was in having his kids. Tony lived his life his way. Much to the frustration of his wife and brother. He wanted nothing more than to make his family proud. Navigating life was difficult for Tony but he loved nothing more than working on cars with Carla. Tony's sudden departure has left a void in the lives of those who knew him. His loving wife and best friend Carla, his three sons, Dylan, Ethan, and Ashton, his ever-constant and patient brother Terry, and his mother Connie will cherish the memories they have shared with him forever. Tony will always be remembered for his kind heart, his sense of humor, and his love for his family and friends.
