The story of
January 15, 1939 - May 29, 2026 Early morning on May 29th, Thomas went to be with our Lord Jesus Christ at the age of 87 after a long battle with health issues. He passed away in Alvin, Texas, at his daughter Connie's and (Robert’s) residence, surrounded by loved ones. He was born in Hillsborough, Florida, to Eugene and Clara Baker. Tommy liked listening to his music: oldies, Gospel, Blue Grass, and classic country. He was a very special man, kind-hearted and giving, especially with his opinion. Enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He loved music, especially the guitar. He enjoyed going to the casino and cruising the coast in his old cars. And he will be deeply missed by everyone who knew him. He is preceded in death by his father and mother, Eugene and Clara Baker. Brothers: Ben Bjorkman and Charlie Baker. Sister: Betty Knight and Ruth Bjorkman He was survived by his children, Danny and (Donna) Baker, Tammy Barnes, Connie and (Robert) Salinas and Stepdaughter, Earline and (Nathan) Hagan. Brothers: Dicky and (Pat) Baker, Michael and (Elfie) Baker Sister: Debra Gentry Grandchildren: Tommy Baker, Eugene and Amy Baker, Jessica Beavers, Melissa Kinchen, Brittney Barnes, Trey and (Grace) Barnes, Bradley and (Kimberly) Owens, Janie and (Allen) Watkins, Micheal Baker. He had 29 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. And he had lots of cousins and friends not listed. We will have a memorial service at his residence in Albany, on Catholic Hall Road. More details will be posted later.
