The story of
Tom went to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, July 22, 2026 in Houston Texas at 76 years old. Tom was born in Springfield, IL. He was preceded in death by his beloved parents Alfonzo and Sylvia Indelicato. He grew up in a Valley Junction neighborhood in West Des Moines. He is a graduate of Valley High School. He then attended University of Houston. After graduation he went into Petrochemical Engineering and worked for various companies such as BHP and Conoco-Phillips. He loved football and was a season ticket holder with the Texans. In 2012 he returned to his “old stomping grounds” with his family, mother and grandchildren in West Des Moines. He continued working in various locations based out of Houston to help support his family. He enjoyed spending time with his family especially during holidays. Especially at Christmas, he was quite a Santa! He will be remembered for his warm personality, quick wit, and seeing old friends at the Iowa State Fair and Valley Junction events. He is survived by Penelope (Penee) Indelicato, Brent Fuson, step-son, Joseph Indelicato, son and Tiffany Hernandez, daughter. Also, his especially beloved grandchildren Lauren (Benjamin) Reding and Madison Hernandez. His step-son (Brent) appreciates everything he helped him with in life. He will be greatly missed by all. According to his wishes, no memorial service is planned.
