Terry Lee Taber (Hebern, Fatout), 75, passed away on July 8, 2025, in Phoenix, Arizona. A devoted mother, gifted artist, and lifelong educator, Terry touched the lives of many through her creativity, warmth, and generosity.
Born on March 11, 1950, in Phoenix, Terry was raised with a strong foundation in education and the arts. She attended St. Francis Xavier Elementary School and later graduated from Xavier College Preparatory in 1968. Terry went on to earn her Bachelor of Arts in Education with a major in Art from Arizona State University.
Terry’s life was a beautiful blend of passion and purpose. She taught elementary students with heart and imagination. From 1983 to 1997, she owned and operated Prairie Farm Designs, where she brought her artistic vision to life producing handcrafted works that celebrated beauty and originality.
Her love for creating was evident in every aspect of her life. She found expression in countless ways by knitting gifts for loved ones, capturing life’s moments through photography, drawing intricate designs, weaving fibers into art and crafting imaginative pieces. Terry had a way of making everything more meaningful.
Above all else, Terry was a loving mother to her daughter Erin Rivero (Manuel) and son Tom Fatout (Kailyn). She took immense pride in their accomplishments and found great joy in being a grandmother to Julia and Laura Rivero. Her siblings: Sandy Bjorklund, Ricki Brannon, and Wendy James, shared deep bonds with her that endured throughout the years. Terry also cherished her relationships with her many cousins and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents: Joe and Jane Hebern (Walsh).
Terry will be remembered for her gentle spirit, her vibrant creativity, and the unconditional love she gave to those around her. May Terry’s memory bring comfort to all who knew and loved her.
