Suzanne King, of Longmont, Colorado, passed away peacefully on October 25, 2025, in Denver, CO.
Suzanne was born November 27, 1956, in Encino California. She moved to Colorado as a young child with her parents James and Barbara King and her 3 siblings. She grew up in Colorado and, as a young woman met James Embree. They were married in 1976, and in 1977 had a son, Lester. Suzanne spent many years working for the City of Arvada, where she was admired for her dedication, warmth, and easygoing nature. She moved to Texas for a few years to be closer to family, then moved back to Longmont to be near her son.
Suzanne loved animals, classic country music, and time shared with loved ones. Those who knew her will remember her quick humor, generous heart, and steady compassion, qualities that made everyone around her feel welcome and valued.
Suzanne was preceded in death by her husband James Embree, her father, James and her sister, Helen. She is survived by her mother, Barbara; sister, Katherine; brother, Jim; son, Lester; and her cherished grandchildren, Robert, Chloe, and Mia.
A service to celebrate Suzanne’s life with friends will be held in Longmont, Colorado on a date to be determined. There was recently a small family gathering in Texas.
She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
