Susan Kehoe passed away peacefully on July 13, 2023, in Oregon following a long-term illness. Susan, who referred to herself as a “Jersey Girl,” was born to Helen and Robert Kehoe in Lyndhurst, New Jersey on June 8, 1955. Susan migrated to Sherwood, Oregon in the 1990’s with stops at Santa Fe, NM, Hillsboro and Wilsonville, OR.
She was preceded in death by her parents Robert and Helen, sister Connie Beke, brothers Edward, William, and Robert Brehm. She is survived by her brothers Larry Kehoe (Linda), Robert Kehoe (Priscilla), sister-in-law Lynn Brehm, and many nephews and nieces.
Susan was highly educated with master’s degrees in counseling and informational technology. Her professional career included serving as a licensed counselor and managing programs with adult developmental disabilities leading to a passion for children and adults with special needs. In both her work and personal environment, Susan always appreciated and respected the ability of individuals to listen to reason and apply common sense. Her hobbies included photography, trading postcards from various state, and other arts and crafts.
The family thanks Susan’s cherished friends and supporters Mr. Charles Edelson, Mr. and Mrs. Craig Staresinich, sister-in-law Lynn Brehm, and Adela Duran. The Kehoe family would also like to thank Dr Robert P. Hayes, who was her primary care doctor for many years and the all the doctors, nurses and staff at Providence St. Vincent Medical Center who supported Susan during her final months at the hospital.
Susan’s remains have been entrusted to After.com in Portland, Oregon. A private service will be held in New Jersey at a later date.
