The story of
Steven Charles Roberts II March 11, 1979 – July 5, 2026 Steven Charles Roberts II, lovingly known as Steve or Stevie to those closest to him, passed away on July 5, 2026, at the age of 47. Steve was born on March 11, 1979, in Lancaster, California, to Steven and Marlene Roberts. He graduated from Antelope Valley High School in 1998 and, shortly after graduation, moved to Colorado. Steve later attended Northwest Line School in Idaho, where he began the path toward a career he would come to love. After graduating from line school, he began his apprenticeship, traveling and working throughout Colorado, Wyoming, Idaho, and Utah. He earned his journeyman lineman certification in 2013 and spent 15 years in the trade. Steve was proud to be a lineman and took great pride in the work he did. While traveling for his apprenticeship in 2012, Steve met Aubrey Jeffs. Together, they built a family, and Steve helped raise Aubrey’s two sons, Corbyn Pace and Treyson Giles. In 2016, they moved from Utah to California and welcomed their daughter, Charlotte “Charlie” Rae Roberts. Steve loved sports, traveling, camping, fishing, and spending time outdoors. Over the years, he and his family shared countless trips, adventures, and memories. Being a father and the family they created were an important part of Steve’s life and his story. Corbyn, Treyson, and Charlie brought tremendous joy to his life and gave him many of his most treasured memories. Steve also shared a special bond with his XL Bully, Duke, who was much more than a family dog. Duke was Steve’s loyal companion and best friend, always by his side and an important part of his life. Steve will be remembered for his adventurous spirit, his love of the outdoors, the pride he took in being a lineman, his love for his family, and the many memories he created with the people closest to him. Steve leaves behind his daughter, Charlotte “Charlie” Roberts; Corbyn Pace and Treyson Giles; Aubrey Jeffs; his sister, Rhonda Chambers; his brother, Michael “Scotty” Franz; his beloved Duke; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members, friends, and fellow linemen. He was preceded in death by his father, Steven Roberts; his mother, Marlene Roberts; and his grandmother, Marilyn Roberts. Steve's legacy will live on through the stories, adventures, laughter, and love he shared with those around him, and through the family and friends who will carry his memory forward. A celebration of life will be held on September 12th from 6-8 at Steve’s home. Please come celebrate his life and share your memories. 43129 42nd St W Lancaster CA 93536
