April 28, 1957 – June 12, 2025
Stanislaw “Stan” Marek Foremski, age 68, passed away peacefully at his home in Issaquah, Washington on June 12, 2025, after an 18-month battle with cancer. He was surrounded by the love and presence of his devoted wife, Karen, and his cherished daughters, Jenna and Kayla.
Born on April 28, 1957, in Oakville, Ontario, Canada, Stan was the beloved son of Nina and Edward Foremski, both of whom preceded him in death. He grew up in Eastern Canada and went on to earn his bachelor's degree from the University of Guelph. Stan eventually headed out west to Vancouver, British Columbia, where he met the love of his life, Karen. The two married and began building a beautiful life together, welcoming their daughters, Jenna and Kayla.
In 2000, the Foremski family relocated to Issaquah, Washington, where Stan continued his career as a sales engineer in the telecommunications industry. After many successful years in the industry, he retired in 2019.
Outside of work, Stan embraced life with curiosity, humor, and a generous spirit. He had a strong love for music, and spent part of his youth playing drums in a band with his brother, John. Golfing was one of his lifelong passions, and in retirement, he looked forward to weekly rounds with the “Nice Guys Golf League”. Stan also loved grilling on his Green Egg during Pacific Northwest summers and rarely passed up a chance to gather with family and friends over a delicious meal.
Stan had a zest for travel and a love for exploring new experiences, especially when it came to food and drink. He enjoyed visiting breweries, attending beer and food festivals, and trying out new restaurants with family and friends. A true fan of fall, his favorite holiday was Thanksgiving, and weekends often found him cheering on his beloved UW Huskies either in person at the stadium, or through the television from the comfort of his own home.
Stan is survived by his loving wife, Karen; daughters, Jenna and Kayla; brother, John Foremski; and sister, Christine Clarke. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, laughter, and unwavering love and support for his family.
A celebration of Stan’s life will be held in the coming weeks. Details will be shared with friends and family.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Stan’s memory can be made to Cancer Pathways or End of Life Washington, two organizations that supported him and his family during his journey.
Stan will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege to know him.
