The story of Stacy
Stacy Arlene Smith passed away peacefully on Friday August 27, 2021 in Heber City Utah. She was born November 29, 1962 to Richard and Arlene Smith in Long Beach California. She lived there through the early 1980's. She graduated from Mayfair High School and later attended the University of Utah graduating with a degree in journalism. She interned for KSL Radio and wrote several freelance articles for multiple publications. She also enjoyed art and volunteered at several galleries. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Stacy had many struggles in her life, but endured to the end. We are proud of her for that example. She was kind and compassionate and loved her family. She is survived by her brother Rick Towne (Dawn) and sister Shelly Smith Isom (Mike). Two nephews Kevin Isom (Megan) and Chad Isom. Three nieces Kimber Isom Whitehead, Kalli Isom Wall (Tyson) and Katie Towne. All of whom she loved dearly. Five grand nieces and three grand nephews. We would like to thank the staff at Rocky Mountain Care Center-The Lodge for the compassionate care and kindness they provided for Stacy. Final internment will be held privately at Memorial Lake Hills Cemetery 10055 So. State St. Sandy Utah 84070. There will be a Celebration of Life Memorial at a later date. It will be announced on social media.
