Socorro Alicia "Coco" Leon passed away Sunday September 27 in Tucson AZ. There will be a mass offered on Saturday October 4th at the Church of Santa Maria Magdalena. Coco was born June 23 1945 in Magdalena de Kino Sonora Mexico, the 3rd of 6 children of Pedro and Maria de Jesus Muñoz. On December 26th 1965 she married Adan Leon Palomino and they had 6 children who were the greatest joy of her life. She loved Adan with all her heart and soul, she was an extraordinary mother, an outstanding woman, wise, generous, strong and active as very few people. Coco enjoyed cooking for her family and friends and anyone who happened to be visiting. One of her hobbies was gardening. She had the patience and talent to make anything bloom, including her Avocado tree that she planted 30 years ago and it finally gave her ONE avocado this year. Her other passion was entrepreneurship where she was a visionary and very successful, from her first business, a shoe store when she was 16 years old, then Liliana Boutique and after that pewter. She was a merchant at heart. Coco was very proud of her children and grandchildren, she always supported and encouraged them in all their projects in their lives, traveling from end to end of the United States and Mexico to attend graduations and special events. She was preceded in death by her granddaughter Sofia Alicia Bitter, her parents Pedro and Maria de Jesus, mother in law Panchita Palomino, siblings Felipe, Alfonso and Maria Teresa. She is survived by her Husband Adan, Children Aglae (John) Young, New Salem ND, Susana Alicia Leon, Puerto Penasco Sonora, Francisco Adan (Maribel) Leon, Phoenix AZ, Teresita Liliana (Michael) Bitter, San Antonio TX, Monserrat (Cesar) Herrera, Rosemount MN and Manuel (Rocio) Leon, Phoenix AZ Grand Children Richard (Monica), Alexandro, Colton, Daniel (Olivia), Sofia, Constanza, Patricio, Ileana (Marco), Francisco, Cassandra, Vicente, Joella (Ronnie), Christopher, Liliana Marie, Jonathan, Thomas, Emilio, Enrique, Daniel, Jesiah, Alicia, and Adan Manuel. Great grand children Elena, Clementine, and Francis.
