The story of
Sarah Marie Lantz “SarBear” Born February 19, 1990 | Heaven Day May 28, 2025 Beloved Daughter, Sister, Granddaughter, Aunt, Niece, and Friend With hearts full of sorrow but also profound gratitude for the time we were given, we celebrate the beautiful life of Sarah “SarBear” Lantz. On the evening of May 28, 2025, at 5:44 PM, Sarah was welcomed into the arms of her Savior; leaving behind a legacy of compassion, resilience, and faith that will echo through generations. Sarah lived her 35 years with a strength that inspired everyone who knew her. She faced the challenges of chronic illness not with bitterness, but with bravery, grace, and humor. Through it all, she remained a bright light; laughing freely, loving deeply, and lifting others even when she herself was in pain. Her beloved service dog, Gabe, was faithfully by her side; an ever-present guardian angel with four paws and a gentle soul. What defined Sarah most wasn’t her trials, but her tremendous capacity to love. She had the rare gift of making everyone feel seen, heard, and valued. A conversation with Sarah, even a brief one, could feel like sunshine after rain. She had that kind of warmth. Sarah was a woman of unwavering faith. Her relationship with Jesus Christ was personal, profound, and powerful. She often called Him her “best friend,” and it showed in the way she lived, full of kindness, mercy, and hope. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and held a firm testimony of the gospel that carried her through every joy and storm. Her faith didn’t just sustain her; it poured out into everything she did. From the time she was a little girl, Sarah exuded joy. Whether racing on the track, cheering for her favorite teams, or cracking jokes at the dinner table, she lived life with exuberance. She was an athlete with fire in her spirit, a daughter who loved fiercely, and a sister who always had your back. Her loyalty was unshakable; her laughter, unforgettable. Sarah leaves behind a family who adored her: her mother Ginny Brimley (Bruce Ingram); her siblings Nathaniel Lantz, Beth Wilson (Alex), Benjamin Lantz, and Ariel Abernathy (Austin); her sweet niece Adi, who brought her endless joy; her cherished uncle Charles “Chuck” Gruver (Curtis Gruver); her beloved grandmother Doris Gruver; and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and treasured friends. She is preceded in death by her father, Clifford Lantz, and her grandfathers, Robert Gruver and Benjamin K. Lantz. We take comfort in knowing she now joins them in Heaven; welcomed with open arms and surrounded by peace and love. Sarah had a magnetism that words can barely describe. A dear friend once said, “She could step onto an elevator with a stranger and by the second floor, she’d know their entire life story.” That was Sarah; open, curious, and endlessly empathetic. Her legacy is one of connection. Love. Faith. Courage. Though the pain of her absence is immense, we rejoice in knowing she is now whole and free. In honoring Sarah’s wishes, her family upheld her end-of-life decisions with reverence and deep love. We take comfort knowing she is at peace, wrapped in divine arms, surrounded by the eternal light she always believed in. A Celebration of Life will be held on June 7th at 2221 W 2000 N, Farr West, Utah 84404 at 6:30 pm. Until we are reunited, sweet SarBear, we will hold your memory close and your laughter even closer. Your spirit lives on; in every act of kindness, every moment of grace, every spark of joy. We love you forever. With aching hearts and endless love, Your family and loved ones
