The story of
Samuel was born April 17, 1936 the first born son of Samuel Peterson Bering Sr and May Jessie Telford Hutchison Bering. He was married four times, his last wife Pamela proceeded him in death in 2017, He is survived by siblings Gerry D. Bering, Ilene J. Hawley (David) and Judy E. Patton (John). Brothers Bobby Louis Bering, Harry Alvin Bering and sisters Dorothy May Rhines and Kathleen Barbara Fox proceeded him in death. His children were Lottie Bering, Robert Bering, Samuel Bering, Reggie Bering, Kurtis Bering, Donald Bering (deceased) and Della Bering, all of which he loved and missed, he had not seen them in many years. He had many grandchildren, nieces and nephews. His niece Joy Bering was an active part of his life helping his sister Judy care for him the last years of his life. He kept in contact with many of his cousins who loved him. He was proud to have served in the Washington state national guard for five years in the 1950s, being honorably discharged. He was a logger with his grandfather Petter Samuel Bering and his father he was named after. He worked at Boeing, dairy farming, manufacturing and retired from Kaiser Aluminum. He loved camping in his motorhome, going to the ocean and fishing. He loved working on cars and knew a lot about them. He was always willing to help anyone he could. He loved sharing about his life experiences and had so many wonderful memories to share. He always chose to remember the good times. We lost a keeper of history. He loved his kitty Nina and playing bingo at his apartment building, the ladies enjoyed his company. He spent much of his last years watching western movies especially his John Wayne movies, he loved the Duke. He will be greatly missed.
