The story of Ryan
Ryan Alan Jacobs passed away unexpectedly on April 16, 2023, at the age of 38. Our family was not expecting Ryan’s life to be cut so short, so soon. We are all devastated by this huge loss and he will be forever missed. Ryan was born on March 23rd, 1985 to Shawn Klopfenstein in Mount Pleasant, Iowa. In 2010, Ryan met Tonya Jacobs at Chandler-Gilbert Community College. Tonya and Ryan married on November 19th, 2016. Ryan was a proud father to his son, Mason Jacobs born in 2004. Ryan was a lover of all things outdoors. When he wasn’t working, you could find him outside fishing, off-roading, and shooting guns. He enjoyed his wife’s daily home-cooked meals, playing with his dogs, and spending time with his Wife and Son. Anyone that knew Ryan also knew his passion for music and free spirit. He worked hard as a plant operator at Vulcan Materials Company. He took great pride in his job and formed friendships that will live on forever. Ryan had a heart of gold and touched so many lives. Ryan and his wife, Tonya were on their way to living their dream life on a lake with their dogs. We know that Ryan is living that life in Heaven and fishing every day. Ryan was preceded in death by his Grandparents, Karen Jacobs, James Matheney, and Donna Matheney. His Aunt, Lori Vey. His Father-in-law, Frank Wright. He is survived by his beloved wife, Tonya Jacobs. His son, whom he took great pride in, Mason Jacobs. His Mother and Father, Shawn and Mark Klopfenstein. His Father and Step Mother, Bradley Matheney, and Patricia Biermann Olsen. His Mother-in-law, Donna Cooke. His Sisters, Riley Klopfenstein, and Kaelin Soto. His Brothers, Kurt Matheney and Trent Matheney. His Nephews and Nieces, Jayden Klopfenstein, Hudson Soto, Harrison Soto, Lilian Vass, Kailee Hunsberger, Hanna Hunsberger, and Isabella Hunsberger. He was also greatly loved and will be greatly missed by the many friends that became Ryan’s Family. Family and friends are welcome to attend a celebration of life, which will be held at Fire House Event Center in Peoria on May 6th between 11 am to 2 pm.
