The story of
Ruth Carol Wilson (Rodrigues, Serrano, Chambers) passed away quietly on January 30, 2024 in Castle Rock, Colorado. After a gallant effort against pancreatic cancer, our "Ruthie" was finally called to move on and has been relieved of all pain. She will be missed horribly by all of those she touched. Born in Torrance, CA on February 9, 1956, and the youngest of three children, Ruthie grew up in the greater Los Angeles area near Redondo Beach. Around 1976, she relocated to the North Texas area. Living mostly in Ellis County, she raised three boys there while also working with challenged youth for the Italy, Tx School District. She eventually became united with husband Mark in 2001 through an ad she had placed on AOL America. Together they would participate with her children, and numerous grand children, as they continued to grow. In 2017 the couple relocated to Colorado. Preceded in death by her mother Hazel J. Riley, father Anthony Rodrigues, Ruthie is proudly survived by husband Mark Wilson, sister Jennie Middlestead (Waco, Tx), George Rodrigues (Louisville, KY), children (and grandchildren) Victor "Danny" Serrano and wife Sabrina (Eric Hays, Jr, Brittany Hays, Maeli Blackburn), Joshua Chambers and wife Tamathia (Joshua Jr, Aubra), Billy John "BJ" Chambers (Anthony, Gabriel, Grayson) and many, many friends from the north Texas area, and beyond. A lover of all things living with an infectious smile, caring heart, and a will to survive, Ruthie could light up a room with out even trying. Always interested in arts/crafts, horticulture, clothing and makeup, she had a knack for the uncanny while displaying the simplest in style. Remembering her will be easy...and hard, as living life has truly been short changed by her loss. Rest In Peace, Ruthie. A Memorial Celebration is currently being planned and will most likely take place in the Ellis County, TX area sometime in the spring/summer. In lieu of flowers, please feel free to donate to the charity of your choice. , by mw 2/10/24 11:49am
