In the early morning of Monday, May 5th, 2025, Rue Doolin, aged 90, left us to be with the Lord. She was born in Riverside, CA on Jan. 6th, 1935. Her greatest accomplishments in her career were getting her Masters degree and rising to the position of Assistant Superintendent of Los Angeles County school district. She made many friends who's friendship lasted for the rest of her life. She wrote and published several manuals and books of fiction. She was a loving mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her son James Doolin and her brothers Aaron, Bob, Monty and Larry. She is survived by daughters Staci Doolin and Robyn Millen and grandsons Justin Miller and Myles Millen respectively. Also her brothers Gene and Rodney, sister Karen Ballard and several nieces and nephews. Her greatest and life-long friend was Marietta Hamilton. They met in their 20's and remained best friends throughout. She requested to forgo a funeral. There will be a small family gathering to celebrate her life and scatter her ashes at sea.
