On the Morning of February 15, 2024 Rose Marie Nichols Dobbs (86) closed her eyes and said
I am ready Lord. Although our hearts are heavy we know she is at peace.
Rose Marie's life began on February 18, 1937 in Eloy, Arizona. Growing up in Carlsbad, New Mexico Rose's life mimicked her character, always full of adventure. Her
escapades were of grand ideas and playful casts, flowing with the wind and growing like the
wild flower she was. Nature and it's movement always part of the plan. In her mid twenties
she met and married Boyd V. Dobbs. Together with spirit they made their home wherever life
took them and welcomed 4 children. From New Mexico to Saudi Arabia to Spain to Lafayette,
La to Houston, Tx she raised her children and enjoyed watching them grow. She involved them
in sports and such and cheered unapologetic with cowbells. Reading, crosswords, and cooking
were some of her pastimes. Rose mastered several culinary dishes but Mexican cuisine was
her power. If you were lucky enough then you know. Through the ebbs and flows of her life she
was able to live with several of her children and grandchildren. She always felt lucky to be able
to experience this and her grandchildren remained especially close to her and will miss her
tremendously.
We believe just as in life she is in Heaven moving with the clouds hugging her husband and her
daughter. And we are happy she is free. Till we meet again Rose you are always in our hearts.
She is survived by 3 children. Robert W Dobbs and wife Nancy, Richard B Dobbs and wife
Sheila, James B Dobbs and wife Natasha. 12 Grandchildren. Robert W Dobbs Jr. , Jennifer
