In Loving Memory of Ronald W. Dalrymple November 9, 2025 | Glendale, Arizona Ronald W. Dalrymple, a distinguished public servant, law enforcement leader, and educator, passed away peacefully at the age of 85 on November 9, 2025, in Glendale, Arizona. With a career spanning over five decades, Ron dedicated his life to public safety, professional regulation, and community service, leaving an indelible mark on Arizona and beyond. Born in June 1940 in Elkhart Indiana, Ron began his journey of service in the United States Marine Corps, where he rose to the role of Radio Relay Team Chief and instructor, earning recognition for exemplary service. His commitment to duty continued in law enforcement, starting as a patrolman in San Clemente, California, and later serving on the U.S. Secret Service Presidential Protective Intelligence Detail at the Western White House. Ron’s leadership flourished in Arizona, where he served as Town Marshal then became Chief of Police of Paradise Valley and later as Executive Director of the Arizona State Board of Technical Registration. In this role, he oversaw the regulation of 20 professional disciplines and 23,000 registrants, shaping policy and professional standards across the state. A lifelong advocate for education and training, Ron taught criminal justice and law enforcement ethics at several community colleges and served as a POST instructor. His passion for mentorship and professional development touched countless lives. Throughout his career, Ron held numerous leadership roles in municipal and county police departments, often stepping in during times of transition or need. He was known for his integrity, strategic vision, and unwavering dedication to public service. Ron held a Master’s degree in Criminal Justice Administration and Business Management from Arizona State University, where he also earned his undergraduate degrees. He was a Certified Public Manager and accumulated over 3,500 hours of specialized training in law enforcement. He is survived by his beloved sister Karen Paulson; his daughters Kaleen Gignac and Kim Flattery; and his stepchildren Jenni Mauney and Joey Warrington. His life was further enriched by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, each of whom brought him immense joy. He will be remembered fondly by colleagues, students, and friends as a man of principle, intellect, and quiet strength. A memorial service will be held at a later date! In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the 100 Club. ________________________________________
