With great sadness we announce the passing of the beloved Ronald David Scott. He passed away in his home on March 20, 2026 surrounded by his family, watching his favorite movies and sharing his greatest accomplishments and memories. In his journey of 91 years, he touched many lives with his humor, kindness and love.
Ronald was born to Alma Katherine and John Coy on January 26th, 1935 in Ohio.
Ronald served his country in the United States Army from 1955 to 1958 as a military police officer. After meeting and marrying his wife, Mona-Lee in 1958, he joined the Los Angeles Police Department where he served proudly. He then worked in private security until his retirement in 2000. At that time he devoted his time to his family and grandchildren.
Ronald was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He was always ready to lend a hand whenever he could to help his friends and family. His grandchildren love to recall the time with grandpa as their personal driver and babysitter, learning funny jokes and watching classic movies.
