Goodyear, Arizona - Robert Ross “Bob” Hobson, born on July 1, 1948, in Wichita, Kansas, passed away on February 25, 2026, in Goodyear, Arizona. Bob was the beloved son of Shirley and Robert M. Hobson, Jr., and a graduate of Wichita Heights High School’s Class of 1966. He went on to earn a degree in Psychology from Wichita State University. Bob was preceded in death by his father and his brother, Gregory Hobson. He is survived by his devoted wife, Lynne Stephens Hobson; son, Ross Hobson; mother, Shirley; sister Georganna Williamson (Cole Hawkins); sister-in-law Liz Hobson; and several cherished nieces and nephews. Bob had a profound appreciation for family and friends, treasuring the time spent with those he held dear. He delighted in intellectual pursuits such as backgammon and crossword puzzles, which reflected his clever mind and passion for challenges. Known for his remarkable memory, Bob was often the go-to person for recalling names or places from the past.
