The story of

He was the son of George Frederick Burke Jr (April 1910-March 1975) and Edna Maurine Martin Burke (Born 1936). He had one Brother George Stewart Burke (1950-2004). The Burke family lived in Leadville until shortly after their father’s passing in 1975. Bob spent the next 45 years living in the Englewood area, where he built a life full of laughter, friendship and good food. He is survived by his beloved daughter Francene Hines, 3 grandchildren , several great grandchildren, sister Pamala Hines and Heather Chapai Smith. He also Leaves behind his best friend of 46 years, James Roy (Jim), friends Regina Uphoff, Mimi Rose Lee, Patty Black, Liz St.Pierre, Steve Burke, Mile High Mohawk, Linda Hernandez and Robert Urosite. Bob was known for his huge sense of humor, endless jokes and quick wit-especially when it came to answering every question on Jeopardy! He had a deep passion for cooking and took great joy in making sure everyone around him was content and well fed. He loved animals-especially cats-and was rarely seen without his signature bottle of Red Hot sauce nearby (he could have used a holster for it). Bob had his own personal relationship with God, one he kept close to his heart. He will be remembered for his kindness, humor and the love he shared with everyone fortunate enough to know him. “END? No, the journey doesn’t end here. Death is just another path. One that we all must take.”
