The story of
Robert “Bert” John Hall passed away peacefully at his home on November 1, 2023 in Apache Junction, AZ at the age of 60. Robert was born on March 22, 1963 in Fruita, CO to John Robert Hall and Jeanette Darlene Nelson Hall. He spent most of his childhood growing up throughout CO. He graduated in 1981 from Hayden High School in Hayden, CO before marrying Marsha Kay Anderson in 1985. They welcomed their first child John Edgar Hall in May of 1986 before moving to Phoenix, AZ in 1987. Robert began working in construction before relocating to Mesa, AZ in 1990 and welcomed his second child Christopher Lee Hall in June of the same year. Robert spent much of his professional life working in residential painting and owned his own business for many years. Robert later divorced, and married Cynthia Marie Murphy Hall in 2005. In 2006 he was forced to medically retire, but he remained active as he spent countless days working on one project or another. Robert subsequently divorced and by 2011 had relocated to Apache Junction, AZ. During this stage of his life, he welcomed new friends and relationships. He worked to restore many classic cars. He welcomed three amazing grandchildren and was able to spend time with family and friends from Colorado to Arizona. Robert spent many of his final days working hard to finish one of his greatest projects, the restoration of a 1966 El Camino he had owned for over 40yrs. His motivation to complete this restoration was paced by the dream of showing it at Kool Deadwood Nights Car Show in Deadwood, SD. Robert was able to complete this restoration, make the trip, and enjoy several days in SD telling its story and sharing his prized car with the world. The family will be forever grateful to all those that helped make this dream a reality, those that gave time, money, and themselves, to support Robert’s vision. Friends and family were able to host an event to celebrate Robert before his passing. His strong belief in Sasquatch and Aliens, his love for family, his passion for people, and of course his car, all provided the perfect setting. The event itself allowed people from throughout his life, and across the country, to come together and celebrate the man that brought joy to so many around him. We were also able to fill his last few months with as much love and joy as possible. Robert is survived by his children John and Christopher Hall; his grandchildren, Joshua, Alyssa, and Jaxin Hall; his siblings, Mike Hall, Teresa Mosher, and Lila Kenward; and his multiple nieces and nephews along with many other family members and close friends. He is preceded in death by his parents John Robert Hall and Jeanette Darlene Nelson Hall of Grand Junction, CO. Pursuant to his requests no memorial services are scheduled to occur. He will be cremated and laid to rest with his parents in Grand Junction, CO. In lieu of flowers, any donations can be received by John or Christopher Hall to aid in covering any final expenses. Condolences can be sent to the family and tributes may be made via his remembrance page on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=780593193 The family would like to thank Noble Hospice, specifically his three primary caregivers Megan, Amy, and Sherry for their care, compassion, and support to both Robert and his entire family. Special thanks to his longtime friend Donna Green for aiding in fulfilling his final wishes.
