The story of
Robert Francis Prevost August 26, 1961 – September 29, 2025 Robert Francis Prevost, known to everyone simply as Robo, left this world on September 29, 2025, at home, surrounded by immense love and his family — exactly the way someone so deeply loved deserved. Born and raised in Watertown, New York, Robo brought his larger-than-life heart and quick wit to Las Vegas when he moved there in 1981. The desert may not have been ready for him, but it’s safe to say it’s been brighter and a lot more fun ever since. If you knew Robo, you knew he was the guy to call. Whether you needed help, advice, or a good laugh, he always showed up — usually before you even had to ask. If he didn’t have the answer… he “knew a guy” who did. A loyal friend, devoted family man, and the king of knowing exactly where the best pizzas and subs in town were, Robo had a gift for turning ordinary days into unforgettable ones. For 31 years, he was a staple at Johnnie Walker RV, where coworkers became family and customers quickly became friends. Known for his top-notch service, legendary practical jokes, and an ability to make anyone feel welcome, Robo left a lasting mark on everyone who crossed his path. People loved Robo, and even if they didn’t plan to, they probably did by the end of the conversation. Of all the titles he held in life, his favorite was “The Pope,” a playful nod to the name he shared with the head of the Catholic Church, but the role he cherished most was being Grandpa. He adored his grandchildren and never missed a chance to let everyone know he had the best grandkids in the world. He also built a family legacy by purchasing property in Cape Vincent, New York, where countless memories by the water will continue to be made for generations to come. Robo is survived by his amazing wife of 37 years, Joanna Prevost; his children, Skyler Brinkmann and Bryce Prevost; his son-in-law, Kyle Brinkmann; and his beloved grandchildren, Jordyn and Quinn Brinkmann. He is also survived by his siblings, Michael Prevost, Jeremy Prevost, Karen Stewart, and Stephanie Froysell; all of his sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, and nephews; and countless friends who became family along the way. He was preceded in death by his parents, Francis and Rosalie Prevost, who are no doubt welcoming him home — probably with a smile and an eye-roll at his jokes. A Celebration of Life will be held on November 1 at the Prevost residence, where we’ll share stories, laugh through the tears, and eat a slice of pizza — exactly how Robo would have wanted it.
