Robert Andrew Knox, born on August 6, 1993, in Redmond, WA, passed away on June 8th, 2024, at the age of 30, leaving behind a legacy cherished by all who knew him. In his younger years, Robert adored the Disney movie Lion King, watching it over and over, much to his grandparent’s, Dean and Dolly’s chagrin. There is a moment in the movie in which Mufasa poignantly speaks about the concept of death, “It's the circle of life, and it moves us all, through despair and hope, through faith and love, 'till we find our place on the path unwinding." Take peace in these words as we remember Robert is interconnected to all of us and his life lives on through our memories. A beloved figure known for his eclectic tastes, Robert had a penchant for outrageous cat shirts and a diverse musical palette spanning rap, 90s alternative rock, and electronic dance music, just to name a few. On road trips, he delighted in blasting music from Gorillaz to EDM, car-dancing with his fellow travelers, and practicing flirty head nods with the cute girls that drove by, just generally sharing his infectious laugh and easy smile. Robert's life was marked by his passion for computers and gaming, particularly his mastery of Castlevania and his fondness for Dungeons and Dragons and World of Warcraft. His love for technology and gaming defined much of his leisure time and social interactions as he met and interacted with people from all over in his online gaming. Robert's vibrant personality was equally celebrated for his unique sense of humor and memorable phrases, often ending phone calls with playful farewells like "roadhouse" or his trademark line, "bitches love cake." His ability to leave a lasting impression extended beyond humor, recounting adventures like taking the "ghost mobile” to a Linkin Park concert and the fun that ensued at the Whitehorse Campground in the Gorge. Beyond his hobbies, Robert cherished time with his long-time girlfriend, Allegra, and their beloved dog, Harmony. One of their favorite getaways being Ocean Shores where Harmony could run and chase the ball. Family was paramount to Robert, evident in his protective nature towards his siblings, where he never missed an opportunity to stand up for them or take the blame when it wasn’t his to take. He will also be remembered for his unwavering support for the Seattle Mariners, Seattle Seahawks, and the University of Washington Huskies, symbolized by the Husky tattoo on his shoulder. In every facet of his life, Robert exuded kindness, gentleness, and an infectious laughter that warmed the hearts of those around him. Among so many other things, Robert’s genuine bear hugs will be greatly missed. He leaves behind a grieving family: his father Robert Knox, mother Jennifer Summers-Powers, grandparents Darlene "Dolly" Amend, Dean Peterson, Alfred and Theresa Knox, siblings Cole, Max, and Violet Powers, Audrie Knox-Bird, Kira and Brooklyn Knox, Uncle John and Aunt Joyca Amend, nephew Lucas Bird, niece Natalie Bird, and his beloved, Allegra Sanchez. Robert Andrew Knox will be deeply missed as a son, brother, nephew, uncle, and friend whose presence brought joy and laughter to all who knew him. He is gone too soon. May he rest in peace, forever cherished in our memories.
