The story of Ralph
It is with a broken heart that I announce Ralph Timothy Peters, 70, passed away early Wednesday, January 11, 2023, with his daughter and son-in-law by his side. Tim, as he was known to his friends, was born on August 14th, 1952, in Spirit Lake Iowa. Tim knew at an early age that school was not for him, so he dropped out of school his senior year, got a GED and followed in his father’s footsteps, and joined the United States Navy. He served aboard the USS Sylvania during the early ’70s and did 2 stints. After he got out of the Navy he worked various jobs until settling on the big truck mechanic. In 1981 he was wed to Luciann Graziano in a marriage that lasted 16 years and in 1984 they had a daughter, SaraJean. He was a loving father and was always there for his little girl. Tim was a man of many interests and hobbies. Among all the things he loved most were Harley-Davidson motorcycles. Tim built and owned a 1952 Harley Panhead which he loved dearly. He was also an avid stamp and baseball card collector with books and boxes of both stashed in the various corners of his house. In fact, there weren’t many things that didn’t fascinate Tim, and had you surveyed his home you could find a collection of something in every part of the house. Having unique things brought him joy. Tim was preceded in death by his parents, Erma Jean and Adolphe Peters, his older sister Deborah Ann Peters, his younger brother Michael James Peters and his loving Miniature Schnauzer Sally Jo. He is survived by his youngest brother Patrick Jerrod Peters of Washington DC; his only daughter SaraJean Greenaway, her husband Neil Greenaway of Thornton Colorado, and their 2 sons Emerson and Kade; and his ex-wife Luciann Graziano with whom he maintained a friendship through the years. No services will be held.
