The story of
Cassidy, Ralph Clark was born August 27, 1951 and died April 16, 2024. He was the fourth of five children born in Chicago, IL to Catherine Clark and Darrell P Cassidy, Ralph served 2 years in Vietnam as a helicopter crew chief and door gunner. After being honorably discharged he met his future wife Sheila June to whom he was married just shy of 50 years. Ralph started his career at US Steel on the east side of Chicago and spent the next 40 years employed as a heavy equipment mechanic. Family and friends regarded Ralph as a kind and gentle man, quick witted with a keen sense of humor. He was well loved and will be dearly missed by his family and friends. Ralph is survived by his beloved wife Sheila June (nee Stack); his daughters Jeanine (Russel) Schuldt; Heather Coutts; and Megan (Derek) Boyle; Grandkids Austin, Skylar, Jacob and Declan; and brother Paul Cassidy. Ralph was an uncle to many loving nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sisters Rose, Joan and Kathy. A Celebration of life was held on April 20, 2024 at New Hope Community Church Hall. Burial will be held at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona in Phoenix, AZ. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ralph's name to Wounded Warriors.
