On Thursday afternoon of October 16, 2025 LaRue Roberts moved to his eternal heavenly home. He was 81 years old. LaRue was born to Carrie May Combs and Rev. Paul Martin Roberts in Reidsville, North Carolina. Later in life LaRue discovered that he could sing and that took him down a brand new path in his life. He loved singing as he and his wife Dee would travel around the country. They would sing in swap meets, churches, sing fest, and most any place where people could listen. LaRue and Dee were honored to be inducted into the Arizona Country Music Association Hall of Fame, a great achievement for someone who didn't know until midlife that he could sing. LaRue is preceded in death by mother Carrie, father Paul and his brother Moody. He is survived by sister Yvonne, adopted daughter Annie Simkins and brother Donald. We miss him so much but we know he is living life to the full in his heavenly home. It was LaRue's desire to be cremated and to have his ashes along with those of his wife Dee in the beautiful White Mountains of Arizona.
