Paul Loran Lauff Sr. passed away on February 27th, 2026, at the age of 86. He was born to Joseph and Evelyn Lauff on November 16th, 1939, in Sterling, Illinois. He attended Bradley University. He completed two masters degrees and was all but dissertation from his PHD in Technical Training.
Paul served in the U.S. Marine Corps, where he received electronics training, and spent the majority of his career as a technical writer/trainer.
Paul enjoyed many hobbies including learning/teaching martial arts, becoming a reserve police officer, and participating in archaeological digs, to name a few. He was an avid collector of guns, coins, knives, and canes. He enjoyed attending the Renaissance Faire every year - in costume!
He was preceded in death by his parents and his grandson, Jordan. He is survived by his wife Marilyn, four children [Colleen (Jeff) Clary, Cathy (Andy) Ptak, Chris Kviz, Paul Lauff Jr], 13 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, and more on the way!
There will be no memorial but donations would be appreciated to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research.
