The story of
Paul Dewayne Dye, 69, of Wittmann, Arizona, passed away peacefully on June 6, 2026. Born on March 1, 1957, in Sallisaw, Oklahoma, to Billy Dye and Etta Stephens, Paul lived a life defined by hard work, generosity, and devotion to his family. He was a loving father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend whose impact will be felt for generations. Paul was known for his strong work ethic, his quick sense of humor, and his stubborn determination. He loved telling jokes and bringing laughter to those around him, often brightening even the toughest days with a smile and a story. Those who knew him understood that once Paul made up his mind, there was little chance of changing it, a trait that reflected both his strength of character and his unwavering commitment to the people and principles he held dear. He had a passion for motorcycles, mechanics, and the outdoors. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and working with his hands, and he took great pride in sharing those interests with his sons. Through countless hours spent together, he taught them not only how to fish, hunt, ride motorcycles, and work on engines, but also the values of responsibility, perseverance, and helping others. Nothing brought Paul greater joy than spending time with his grandchildren. He cherished every opportunity to be with them, creating memories that will remain in their hearts forever. His love for his family was evident in everything he did, and he was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Paul was preceded in death by his father, Billy Dye, and his sisters, Rose and Terri. He is survived by his sons, Christopher and Paul; his grandchildren, Gabriel, Christopher Jr., Maudie, and Hadlie; his mother, Etta; his brothers, David, Billy Jr., James, and Shane; his sisters, Esther, Beth, and Sharon; and his lifelong friend, Carlos. Paul will be remembered for his kindness, generosity, unwavering work ethic, infectious sense of humor, and the love he gave so freely to his family and friends. Though he will be deeply missed, his legacy lives on through the lessons he taught, the memories he created, and the family he loved so dearly. The family finds comfort in the many memories shared with Paul and in knowing that he has been reunited with his father, sisters, and other loved ones who preceded him in death. His spirit will continue to guide and inspire those who knew and loved him, and his memory will be cherished forever.
