The story of
Patricia Susan Brinkerhoff, 83, of Spanish Fork, Utah peacefully passed away on January 29, 2025, surrounded by family. She was born and raised in LA county, California. She was the second daughter from her parents Bernice and Milton Stevens. She adored her older sister, Shirley. Although Shirley moved away when mom was young, they maintained a close but distant relationship throughout her lifetime. As a young adult, Tricia moved to Utah to attend BYU. She graduated with a sociology and psychology degree. While attending BYU. She met the love of her life Ralph, and the two were married on July 21, 1965. Trish dealt with many challenges throughout her life. She never stopped showing love for those she cared for. She maintained lifelong friendships with girls from her childhood, and friends she met in college. She liked to keep up on current events and wanted peace and justice for everyone. She was reserved and didn’t go out of her way to make friends, but anyone we introduced her to she welcomed in. She had something positive to say about people after just meeting them. She truly wanted the best for everyone. She had a huge heart and was accepting of people from “all walks of life.” Tricia had a huge heart. She worried about everyone and everything. She was a huge lover of animals. She cared for animals like they were little babies. Babies had a soft spot in her heart. She completely melted when there was a baby around. “All rules went out the window.” Trish was extremely loved. We hope she now feels that love for herself. She has been ready to crossover and her body finally agreed. She’s out of the physical and mental pain that tormented her in this life. She was a very spiritual person. She had a strong belief in a life beyond this earth and she was ready for it. She was awaiting her time to be with Shon and her parents again. She never asked for too much from anyone. Her final days in the hospital she felt guilty having us all be there, taking time away from our lives. Although, she treasured every moment with us as we did with her. She is survived by her husband Ralph Brinkerhoff and children: Mark (Suzanne) Brinkerhoff, Krista Brinkerhoff, Kara (Justin) Cloward, Corinne Brinkerhoff, Derek (Kylie) Brinkerhoff, and daughter-in law Jaima Brinkerhoff. Surviving grandchildren include: Jordan (Katie) Brinkerhoff, Nikole (Justin) Hamblin, Bryton (Abby) Shepherd, Brooklyn (Kade) Jones, Ashton Shepherd, Kaitlyn Cloward, Triston Shepherd, Brylee Cloward, Cooper & Cru Brinkerhoff, Azure Horner, Makynlie & Karson Brinkerhoff. She was proceeded in death by her parents Milton and Bernice Stevens, her sister Shirley Salmen and her son Shon Brinkerhoff.
