The story of
Obituary for Patricia “Patty” Hemphill It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Patricia “Patty” Hemphill, who left us peacefully on Sunday, January 18, at 10:49 AM. Patty was a beloved wife, aunt, sister-in-law, and friend, known for her warmth, kindness, and adventurous spirit. Born in Stockton, California, Patty moved to San Diego, where she enjoyed the pleasant weather and daily walks to the beach. She and her husband, Charles shared a love for travel, exploring the world together and creating countless cherished memories. Patty was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, and is survived by her loving husband, Charles Gaedtke; her sister-in-law, Mercedes Hemphill; her nieces, Crystle, Erica, Ashley, Nathalie, and Samantha; her brother and sister-in-law, Joseph and Marilyn; and her beloved cat, Moe. Patty held a special place in her heart for her best friend, Maryann, and her memory will forever be cherished by all who knew her. In accordance with her husband’s wishes, there will be no formal service. The family encourages everyone to honor Patty in their own personal way and tradition. Patty’s legacy of love, kindness, and adventure will live on in the hearts of her family and friends. “Thank you for the love, the laughs, and the memories — it’s been a hoot!”
