The story of Nora
Nora A Gentile, 63, was called to heaven and passed away peacefully surrounded by family on June 10, 2023, in Phoenix, Arizona. She was born to Victor Manuel MartinezMedina and Lucia Aura Gonzalez Dominguez in Mexico City, Mexico on March 23, 1960. Nora led a very happy, active life filled with family, friends, and many activities. She was always the life of the party, loved to break into song (even when she did not know the lyrics), and was smart, sharp, witty, and funny. She was a 3rd degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do, an accomplished chemist at PPG Industries for 35 years, an adventurous and avid traveler but most of all a wonderful wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend to many.  On September 14, 1985, after a short romance, Nora married Paul F Gentile at the Old Stone Church in Cleveland, Ohio and they were lucky to have celebrated 38 years together. She retired from PPG Industries in June of 2020. Following retirement she spent her time with family, traveling, exploring around their new home in California, and visiting with old friends and family throughout Mexico. Nora was preceded in death by her father, Victor. She is survived by her husband Paul, son Victor, daughter Sophia, mother Lucia, sister Lucia, sister Magnolia, therapy and emotional support dog furry son Apollo, as well as many cousins, nephews, and nieces. A celebration of life service will be held in her honor at 3:00 pm on 23rd June 2023 at the Old Stone Church in Cleveland, Ohio.
