The story of
Phoenix, AZ — Nina Falconer, age 85, passed away peacefully on June 18, 2026, at Shadow Mountain Memory Care surrounded by the love and comfort of her family and caregivers. Born on April 7, 1941, in Rialto, CA, Nina grew up in Fremont, NE, where she graduated from Fremont High School. She lived a life rich in warmth, quiet grace, and generous service to others. Before moving to Arizona, Nina worked as a bank teller for over 20 years, where her kind nature made her incredibly popular with both her coworkers and customers. Nina spent countless hours volunteering in her children's schools and supporting various church activities. She loved reading books and was an avid gardener who found immense peace tending to her plants. Her hands were rarely still; she also enjoyed creating ceramics, crafting and sewing. Above all else, her absolute favorite thing to do was spend time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who brought her endless joy. Nina was the devoted wife of Jack Falconer, with whom she shared 64 beautiful years of marriage. She was a deeply loving mother to her two children, Jacqueline (Brad) Edwards and Douglas (Kerrie) Falconer. As a mother and mother-in-law, her warmth and acceptance knew no bounds, always welcoming her extended family with an open heart. Her gentle spirit lives on through her grandchildren, Laura (Adam) Westrope, Taryn (Ryan) Ley, Jared (Marissa) Moreland, Jordyn Moreland, Jack Falconer, and Ellie Falconer, her six beloved great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Though all who knew her mourn her absence deeply, there is comfort in knowing she is at peace, resting in the presence of God in heaven. She is survived by her husband, Jack Falconer; her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren; and her sisters, Linda Rogers and Nancy Long. She was preceded in death by her parents, Verba Intorn and Elvie Long, and her sisters, Diann Arthur and Janice Rutledge. Service Information:
A service celebrating Nina's life and legacy will be held on Friday, August 14, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel at Scottsdale Bible Church, located in Scottsdale, AZ. Chapel NW corner of the church campus. Chapel NW corner of the church campus. Jackie Edwards (480) 203-1107. Memorial Donations:
