Nancy Winsett was born on June 26th, 1960. Shortly thereafter she was put up for adoption by her biological parents. At 6 months of age she was adopted into the Winsett family by Bob and Marilyn Winsett and her brother, Bob.
She was always bright, curious and energetic and showed an aptitude for mathematics at an early age. She worked at times in various electronic assembly jobs in the Boulder area for firms such as Ball Aerospace. Her smile and beauty were just two of the things that made people want to get to know her. The more people knew her the more they liked her.
As she got older she began to suffer the effects of the chronic pain caused by hyper-mobility syndrome, a disease that slowly took its toll over the years. Fortunately, she found a long term home with the Boulder Housing Authority at 1940 Walnut where she resided for close to 30 years. It was there that she met many friends and found a stable living environment until she passed away on December 14th.
Nancy always loved dogs….especially chihuahuas. She is survived by her chihuahua of 14 years, Merribu, who was by Nancy’s side 24/7 for all of those years. In her last year of life she was fortunate to have care-givers like Pat and Heather as well as friends like her neighbor Robert who made her life enjoyable on a daily basis. Nancy loved crossword puzzles and was always eager to share her latest creations with everyone mentioned above as well as her brother Bob.
Nancy’s passing is a reminder to us all that life is short and very precious. She will be missed.
