The story of
Myrna Huber was born and raised in Portland, Oregon to Reuben and Helen (Kammeyer) Huber on May 17, 1948. She was active in 4-H and on the Jefferson High School swimming team. She graduated from High School in 1966. Myrna was Oregon’s Grand Bethel Honored Queen in 1967-1968. She went on to attend Portland State College (later Portland State University) where she received her Bachelor’s degree. She married Roy E. Keller in Portland, Oregon on January 16, 1971. Their first daughter, Rayna, was born in 1974. Their second daughter, Larisa, was born in 1979. Myrna worked for 30+ years at Boise Cascade. Through the years she spent countless hours being active and volunteering in Girl Scouts, Toastmasters International, SMART Reading, and was very proud to have donated a substantial amount of blood and platelets to Red Cross. Myrna was also active in several Masonic groups which included Job’s Daughters (Bethel), Amaranth, Eastern Star, and was the longtime Treasurer of Al Zahrah Court Ladies Oriental Shrine of North America. Volunteering and donating were very important to Myrna and gave meaning to her life. Myrna is predeceased by her parents, Reuben and Helen, and her husband, Roy. She is survived by her daughters Rayna Keller and Larisa Keller, and granddaughters Angela Dahlen, Andrea Dahlen, Izabella Lakey, and Adison Lakey. Per Myrna’s wishes, she will be cremated and requested that a memorial service not be held. Myrna will be privately laid to rest in Willamette National Cemetery.
