The story of
Mary Sue Shotwell, born in Marlette, MI on January 24th, 1962 to Ralph and Josie Bell Shotwell passed away on January 31st, 2024 at Overlake Medical Center in Bellevue, WA at age 62. Mary Sue liked to go by her middle name Sue. Sue lived the majority of her life in the King County WA area. In her early years, Sue enjoyed working at Pine Lake in Lake Sammamish running concessions and completing other tasks. She found the first love of her life, Bob, right after high school and shared over a decade with Bob before his untimely passing from cancer. All of Sue's life, she has had a great love for all animals. Her favorite dog was a small pekingese named Deannie. She also had two ferrets for some years, Robere and Robilina who even had their own room in Bob and Sue's house. After Bob passed, Sue eventually found a partner, Richard, with whom she spent the last 30 plus years with. Early in their relationship, they enjoyed boating on Lake Sammamish and lived overlooking the lake for sometime. Sue is survived by her sisters, Lisa Ann Shotwell of Exira, IA, Elsie Naomi Goncalves (John) of Soap Lake, WA. Nieces, Theresa Hopkins and family of Federal Way, WA, Athena Vetterick (Shawn) and family of Bremerton, WA, Marie James of Seattle, WA, Katrina Shotwell and family of Exira Iowa, Latesha Johnson of Atlantic, IA. Nephews, Junior Hopkins and family, Torrence Moffett and family of Seattle, WA, John (Hannah) Goncalves of The Dalles, OR. She was preceded in death by three siblings in infancy, her father, Ralph Shotwell, mother, Josie Bell Shotwell, and sisters, Ethel Hopkins, Wilma Moffit, and Audrey May Shotwell. Memorial services will be held at a later date.
