Mary Ann (Korslund) Roucis died peacefully in her Lakewood, Colorado home on July 27, 2026 after 95 rewarding years of life. In that time, she was an art teacher, loving wife of a highly successful dentist, mother of 6 children, office manager, and an insatiable food enthusiast. She was born to her parents, Florence and William Korslund, in Hastings, Nebraska on June 21, 1931 and raised in Kearney where she eventually met and married James Dean Roucis, a Creighton dental school student at the time. Upon his graduation, they moved to Lakewood where the couple raised a large family and created a long-lasting family dentistry practice. In her later years, Mary Ann enjoyed finding new restaurants, watching old movies — especially film noir, and attending weekly trivia competitions on team “Smartinis” with several of her children and many family friends. Years ago she expressed a strong desire to live in her home up to her last day — a wish that was granted. She is preceded in death by husband James and 2 daughters, Judy Roucis and Lucy Roucis. Remaining children are John Roucis, James Roucis, Janet Roucis, and Marilyn (Roucis) Manning. She was blessed by six grandchildren, and five great grandchildren.
