The story of
Marienne Andrews, 62, of Aurora, Colorado, passed away peacefully on September 24, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born in New Britain, Connecticut on October 25, 1962, she was the daughter of the late Patrice and Laurette (Turgeon) Jacques. Marienne was a graduate of New Britain High School. She then worked in the restaurant field before becoming a dedicated, hardworking longtime employee of Marriott, where she took great pride in managing the sport bar, restaurant, special events and banquets. She later worked at Home Depot for many years. Marienne loved traveling, as a kid taking summer family vacations to Canada to see relatives. As a young woman, her adventurous spirit drove her to move from Connecticut to Huntington Beach, California with her sister, where her brother lived nearby. Her journey then took her to Colorado, where she met her late beloved husband, Robert “Griff” Andrews. Together, Marienne and Griff continued to see the world - traveling to Hawaii and Mexico, swimming with dolphins, taking walks on the beach- traveling to the East Coast to visit with their nieces and nephews. They also loved going to Estes Park in the nearby mountains. While at home, she enjoyed working in her yard, playing games and cuddling up with her cat Elmo. She adored all her pets over the years, including cats Butterball, Keisha, Cuse, Jeter, and dogs, Kato and Mandi. Marienne is survived by her two siblings: Robert Jacques and his wife Sharon of Bristol, CT; and Nancy Jacques of Aurora, Colorado. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews: Stephanie Hasler and her husband Jacob of Bristol, CT; Nicole Curry and her husband Eli of Pembroke, MA; Robert Jacques Jr. of Bristol, CT; Matthew Andrews and his wife Christie of New York; and Amy Devaney and her husband Gary of New York. The family would like to thank Namaste for their assistance with the care they provided Marienne in her final weeks. Services will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to any cancer foundation of your choosing
