Maria Pacheco Lobo, born on August 14, 1952, in Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas, Mexico, passed away peacefully on January 24, 2026, in Plano, Texas. She was 73 years old.
A devoted grandmother, supportive sister, and cherished friend, Maria lived a life filled with warmth and connection. Her presence brought joy to those around her, and her memory will continue to be a source of comfort and inspiration.
Maria was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Carlos and Gloria Pacheco, as well as her daughter Erika Palacios. Though their absence was deeply felt throughout her life, Maria carried their love with her always.
She is lovingly remembered by her grandchildren: Maria Palacios, Jesus Pacheco, Inez Perez, and Erik Peña Jr., each of whom held a special place in her heart. Her siblings—Patricia Santos, Beatriz Martinez, Veronica Alaniz, Juan Carlos Pacheco, and Jose Isidro Pacheco—mourn the loss of their sister and celebrate the many memories they shared together.
Maria found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She loved going to the casino and trying her luck at gambling—a pastime that brought excitement and laughter. She treasured time spent with her great-grandchildren and delighted in their company. A social spirit at heart, she enjoyed long conversations with friends and never missed an opportunity to connect with those she cared about.
A woman of faith, Maria was a member of the Catholic Church. Her beliefs were a guiding light throughout her life.
Maria’s legacy lives on through the love she gave so freely to family and friends alike. May her memory bring peace to all who knew her.
