Luanne Marie Jobgen, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, friend, and community servant, passed away peacefully on June 18, 2026, at the age of 73, following complications from Multiple Sclerosis.
Born in Tacoma, Washington, Luanne spent her childhood and early adulthood in Orange County, California. In 1980, she made Temecula her home and quickly became one of the community's most recognizable and beloved volunteers, dedicating herself to serving others and helping build the growing Temecula Valley she loved.
For 44 years, Luanne lived courageously with Multiple Sclerosis. While the disease presented many challenges, she refused to let it define her life. Instead, she became known for her resilience, perseverance, optimism, and unwavering commitment to helping others. Even as MS limited her physically, her spirit and drive remained boundless.
Luanne's greatest gift was her ability to make people feel seen, welcomed, and valued. Whether meeting someone for the first time at a community event or greeting a lifelong friend, she had a unique way of making every person feel important. Her kindness, generosity, infectious energy, and servant's heart left a lasting impression on everyone she encountered. Many considered her the welcoming face of the Temecula Valley community.
A tireless volunteer, Luanne devoted countless hours to causes she believed in. She served as a longtime board member and volunteer for Habitat for Humanity Inland Valley and as an Ambassador for both the Temecula Valley Chamber of Commerce and the Murrieta/Wildomar Chamber of Commerce. Through decades of service, she helped strengthen the community she loved and inspired others to do the same. Friends remember her as someone who always showed up, always volunteered, and always found a way to help.
Though she loved her community, Luanne’s first love was her family.
She is survived by her husband of 36 years, John Jobgen, whom she married in 1990; her sons, Bradley Schmehl of Winchester and Steven Taylor of Charlottesville, Virgina; her stepdaughters, Stephanie Jobgen-Taylor and Nicole Jobgen of Wildomar; and her grandchildren, Jacob, Sienna, Imagine, Brody, and Ella; and her sister Debbie England of Corvallis, Oregon. She also leaves behind countless friends, neighbors, colleagues, and community members whose lives are richer because they knew her.
Luanne's family takes comfort in knowing that her legacy lives on in the people she encouraged, the organizations she welcomed into the community, the friendships she nurtured, and the family she loved so deeply. Her life was a testament to perseverance, compassion, service, and love.
Though she will be deeply missed, the impact of her life will continue to be felt for generations. Her legacy is measured by the countless lives she touched on this earth. We trust she is in God’s hands and will continue to look over her loved ones from above.
A celebration of Luanne's life will be announced at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family encourages those wishing to honor Luanne's memory to support organizations and causes dedicated to strengthening the community she loved.
