Linda Smith, age 77, passed away peacefully on June 29, 2026. Born in Plevna, Montana, as Linda Lang, Linda lived a life defined by hard work, love for her family, and appreciation for life's simple pleasures. Throughout her life she was also known as Linda Duffield before later becoming Linda Smith. While growing up in Montana, Linda was a high school cheerleader and later attended Billings Business College, where she prepared for a career that reflected her friendly and caring nature. Linda shared her life with two loving husbands. She was first married to Kenneth Duffield and later to Lynn Smith. Both were an important part of her life's journey and preceded her in death. She worked for many years as a bank teller, where she enjoyed helping customers and building lasting relationships within her community. Later, she worked in the cafeteria at Garden Lakes Elementary School, where she took pleasure in serving students each day. Linda had a passion for cooking and was known as a wonderful cook, always preparing memorable meals for family and friends. She loved going to the casino, enjoying good food, and took great pride in keeping a beautiful, welcoming home. Linda also believed in always looking her best. Whether she was running errands or attending a special occasion, her outfits were thoughtfully chosen, and her hair was always perfectly styled. She carried herself with grace, confidence, and pride. Above all, Linda cherished her family. She will be remembered for her caring heart, quiet strength, generosity, and the love she shared so freely with those around her. Linda is lovingly survived by her son, Brent Duffield; her son, Troy Duffield, his wife, Amber, and their children, Cameron and Ava Duffield; and her brother, Gary Lang. Linda's love and kindness will continue to live on through the family she cherished so deeply. She will be greatly missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved her. In accordance with Linda's wishes, no memorial service will be held. Her family will honor her life and memory privately. The family appreciates the love, prayers, and support shown during this difficult time.
