The story of
In Loving Memory of Linda Kay Blackburn Beloved Mother, Grandmother, and Wife June 19 1953-August 3 2025 It is with heavy hearts and deep love that we announce the passing of Linda Kay Blackburn, who left this world peacefully on August 3, 2025, surrounded by love and held in the hearts of those who adored her. Linda was preceded in death by her devoted husband James Russell Blackburn, with whom she shared a deep and enduring love. After 21 years apart, they are now joyfully reunited — a love story continued in eternity. She is survived by her loving children Amy Cooksey, James Blackburn, and Cheryl Munroe Perez Brignoni — each a reflection of her strength, compassion, and warmth. Linda was also the proud grandmother of nine beloved grandchildren, whose lives she touched with quiet wisdom, laughter, and unwavering love. A woman of deep faith, kindness, and gentle strength, Linda lived her life with grace and humility. She was a safe place for many — a listener, a comforter, and a constant presence in the lives of those she loved. Per her wishes, there will be no formal service. Instead, we invite those who knew her to honor her memory by living with kindness, loving deeply, and finding beauty in the everyday just as she did. She is home now with her husband and in the care of God. Rest peacefully Mom. You are forever loved and deeply missed.
