Leland J O'Brien: born 9/15/1942, died 7/7/2026, aged 83 years. The world is a little quieter, and sadder now. He liked outdoor jobs like oil drilling & construction equipment. He grew up in Edgewater, Colorado, and made some lifelong friends. Earned a business degree from Colorado College, but his real passion was horses, specifically hunters & jumpers. He and his former wife and show judge, Carole, produced the Pikes Peak horse show in Colorado Springs for many years. Later, they moved to Aiken, SC. Lee was often tough and generous at the same time. He could yell at the stray cats and raccoons but make sure they had food and water that night. He always looked after family. He is survived by his brother Richard O'Brien. A celebration of his life will be held Friday October 2nd at 1 PM under the Prospect Park Pavilion, W 44th Avenue and Robb Street, Wheat Ridge, CO.
