A FATHER'S LEGACY: REMEMBERING LECURTIS PORTWOOD In Loving Memory of LeCurtis “Curt” Portwood Sunrise: November 30, 1945 | Brinkley, Arkansas Sunset: October 3, 2026 | Parker, Colorado Age: 80 LeCurtis “Curt” Portwood, beloved husband, father, grandfather, veteran, and family patriarch, passed away peacefully on October 3, 2026, at the age of 80. He leaves behind a legacy of strength, integrity, hard work, and unwavering love for his family. Curt shared 60 years of marriage with his beloved wife, Edna M. Portwood. Together they built a family grounded in love, faith, and resilience. He is lovingly remembered by his children: Sherry A. Hollis-Demps, William J. Hollis, Paul “LeCurtis” (Ty) Yim, Nicole Portwood, and his daughter in law, Terry Hollis. He was preceded in death by his son, Robert D. Hollis. He also held a special place in the lives of his nephew Terry Luster, niece Rochelle Dawson, Mo Iftikhar, his sister Jewell Portwood, his brother in law Marshall Luster, and many extended family members and friends who regarded him as a mentor and father figure. His legacy continues through his cherished grandchildren and great‑grandchildren, including Xavier LeCurtis Portwood Stewart, Xavier's wife, Asia Sherrill, Vinee D’Andrea, Alfred Jones, Ciera Hollis, Kalara Hollis, Jaxmin Burgess‑Hollis, Mercedes Barksdale, Trenton Yim, Rakediz Ortiz, Charizma Yim, and a host of many grandchildren and great‑grandchildren who were blessed by his love, wisdom, and presence. A proud United States Army veteran, Curt served his country honorably for four years in the United States and South Korea. He was known for his gentle spirit, quiet strength, and steady wisdom. Through his actions, he taught honesty, perseverance, responsibility, and the importance of family. Curt found joy in simple pleasures, including nature and educational programs, sharing stories, and cooking for those he loved. His warmth, humor, and life lessons created lasting memories that will be treasured forever. Though he is no longer with us in person, his spirit, love, values, and example will remain in the hearts of all who knew him. In accordance with Curt's wishes, no formal funeral service will be held. Family and friends are invited to honor his memory through acts of kindness, prayer, or charitable giving. Forever loved, deeply missed, and never forgotten. ❤️
